PressPlay: A Night to Remember
PressPlay is more than just a project—it's a labor of love, born from a deep passion for music. This dynamic group of four extraordinary musical artists will take you on a soulful journey, filling the night with songs from the 60s and 70s that stir the heart and ignite cherished memories.
Dennis Marcenko (Bass/Vocals) has toured the globe, recording with icons like kd Lang and Colin James. His impressive career has seen him share the stage with legends such as Steve Winwood, ZZ Top, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Keith Richards. Dennis has graced the stages of MuchMusic, Hee-Haw, The Grand Ole Opry, and even performed twice on The Tonight Show with
Johnny Carson.
Jon Treichel (Guitar/Vocals) honed his craft as part of the house band at Gastown’s Pig & Whistle. Since relocating to Kamloops in 1992, Jon has composed music for a stage production about Janis Joplin's life, taught guitar and bass across the Okanagan, and performed in a wide range of genres—from Rock and R&B to Rockabilly and Soul. His versatility even extends to performing with the Kamloops Symphony Orchestra.
Richard Graham (Drums/Vocals) is a seasoned
drummer who has collaborated with talents like Colin James, Lou Gramm, Mary Stewart, Ashley MacIsaac, and the Kamloops Symphony Orchestra. His experience spans numerous jazz and blues festivals, musical theatre, and work with producers such as Roger Swan (Nelly Furtado, Busta Rhymes & Alicia Keys).
Darby Mills (Lead Vocals) Darby burst onto the music scene just a week after her high school graduation in 1978. Two years later, she joined the Headpins, achieving worldwide success with millions of records sold. After five years, Darby embarked on a solo career, landing two record deals and selling 40,000 copies of "Never Look
Back" In 2017, her incredible four-decade career was celebrated in the Telus On Demand documentary ‘Queen of Scream.’ Today, Darby is busier than ever, with three new projects on the horizon.
PressPlay is your invitation to a musical experience unlike any other—a night where every note and lyric is delivered with the kind of passion that only true artists can bring. Join us and let the music move you.
